2007 Charbono, Jacob Franklin Wines, Elyse Winery Napa Valley Grapes...Charbono is relatively unknown varietal, a very hardy grape. A cousin to the Barbera, Earthy, with wonderful nose, it ages very well. Terrific food wine.

Gewurztraminer Alexander Valley Vineyards Grapes grown in Potter Valley Slighty sweet, with nose of pineapple, lychee, and pears. A Perfect Spring or Summer Wine.
2008 Sauvignon Blanc Robledo Family Vineyards Pale Yellow straw color, aromas of honeysuckle, fig and mango..great nose and rich, lingering finish.

We have selected 4 wines which we believe pair well with foods. The Tempranillo is a great barbecue wine , for a summer picnic or light appetizers. Likewise, the Robledo Merlot with its berry flavors is a very drinkable wine with almost all foods and a great sipping wine as well. One of our best friends, Bill Tristant makes Mirifice which is a wonderful bordeaux blend that stands up well with heavier meats. Cheryl can never say enough good things about Charbono. One of the most food friendly of wines (and the most scarce ) ; it enhances all "earthy" foods... for barbecues (great herbs and smokiness cooked with the meats), all game dishes and pastas and those great nutty cheeses. We hope you enjoy these wines as we do.
2oo6 Mirifice Tristant Vineyards Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Verdot Napa Valley Vineyards, 100% Organic Aged in French Oak Barrels, 18 months Smooth, terrific now and will age well
